Key benefits of going solar
With over 80% of Irish electricity still sourced from fossil fuels and rising electricity prices, shifting to renewable energy is both crucial and financially appealing. Government incentives like SEAI grants for solar panels and electric car chargers, along with 0% VAT on residential installations, make this a cost-effective choice. In addition remarkable innovations in solar technology have dramatically increased efficiency, shortening the return on investment period to 5-7 years.
Lower upfront cost
The 0% VAT rate on residential installations lowers the upfront cost by over €1,100
Increase property value
Adding solar panels can significantly raise the value of your property
Short Payback period
With grants and tax incentives, the payback period for installing Solar PV can be as low as 5 years
Up to €2,400 cashback
Improve your BER
Adding a solar panels significantly improves your Building Energy Rating (BER).
Low Maintenance required
With no moving parts, your Solar PV system will require minimal maintenance
Tax free extra income
Up to €400 in exemption from income tax for profits generated by microgeneration of solar electricity
Cut your energy bill
Switching to a solar PV system can slash your electricity bills by up to 70%
Reduce your carbon footprint
Installing an 6kWp Solar PV system can cut your carbon emissions by 6.3 tonnes annually
Our simple 3-step process
Free consultation
Start with a free consultation and site survey to assess your energy needs and site specifics. Our experts will design a PV system tailored for maximum efficiency and seamless integration.
Design & Install
After your initial consultation, our team will create a solar system design. We then proceed with the professional installation, setting up the PV system with minimal disruption.
Connection & Grant
After commissioning and connecting your PV system to the Grid, the SEAI will release grant funds. We facilitate the entire process, ensuring smooth access to grants
What is the impact of 16 panels
Quantity of co2 offset
In Ireland, a 6KW solar system produces, on average, 15 KWh per day. Considering that each KWh of electricity generated by a coal power plant emits 1.18 kg of CO2, a 6KW system effectively offsets about 17.4 kg of CO2 daily. This amounts to an annual reduction of 6.3 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
equivalent trees
Planting a tree can absorb approximately 21 kg of CO2 annually. In comparison, a 6kW solar system is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of 474 trees each year. As a result, over its 25-year warranty period, the solar system is comparable to planting a total of 11,800 trees, roughly 64 acres of forest.

What our customers say
FAQ
Are you a registered installer ?
Our company, Solis Green Energy Ltd, is a SEAI registered company for both Domestic and Non-Domestic installations. Our SEAI registration number is 50410.
Why is a consultant not needed to oversee the works ?
As the works are specific and the SEAI Non-Domestic Micro-Generator Company list is in place, and the programme guidance documents are detailed, the engagement of an external consultant is not generally necessary.
What manufacturer are you using for solar panels ?
We primarily utilise high-efficiency solar panels from renowned Tier-1 companies like Jinko Solar, a global manufacturer listed on the NYSE. Depending on availability and pricing, we are also equipped to provide alternatives from other manufacturers such as Longi Solar, Trina Solar and Recom.
What manufacturer are you using for inverters ?
In relation to inverters, our standard choice is the reliable range from Solis Inverters. However, should your requirements differ, we are also equipped to offer high-quality alternatives from industry leaders such as Huawei, Sofar Solar or SigEnergy. Detailed datasheets and specifications are available upon request and will be definitively shared during the contracting phase.
How long does it take to install a typical solar system?
On average, a residential PV system can take between one and three days to install, depending on complexity and location.
Before installation, our specialist will typically conduct a site survey to assess any potential issues that may affect the installation timeline.
How long solar panels last?
Solar panels are built to be durable and long-lasting. On average, solar panels have a lifespan of about 25 to 30 years.
However, this doesn't mean they stop producing electricity after this period; it just indicates that energy production might decrease to a level considered less efficient than their original output.
With proper maintenance, panels can continue to operate effectively for many years beyond their expected lifespan.
